The Opportunity
 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Functional Analyst – Atlassian Suite to be a part of our team in Group IT at Transport for NSW. This position reports to the Senior Business Analyst and plays a key role in the development and ongoing management of Atlassian applications in a complex, federated systems environment ensuring system developments and enhancements adhere to IT Strategy & Architecture enterprise architecture methodologies, strategies standards and advice.

 

The Functional Analyst is responsible for providing expert specialised, timely technical systems support, guidance and technical input to the IT team in scoping requirements, developing schedules and release plans, implementing systems enhancements, ongoing application support and developing and implementing new business solutions to drive continuous improvement of processes and technology for the Atlassian suite of products, namely JIRA and Confluence.

 

We are looking for an qualified individual who can take on the challenge of managing the delivery of development/configuration/enhancement work undertaken by internal and external service providers, operating in an organisation with varying levels of technical and process maturity and reducing technical complexity where significant technical interdependencies exist. Crticical to success within this role will be demonstrated experience in the use of key processes such as Commercial off the Shelf Development (COTS) Life Cycle management, ITIL processes and Atlassian Products eg., Jira and Confluence from both a functional and technical perspective.

Essential requirements

  • Strong experience in 3^rd party software management, maintenance and support.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of key processes: Commercial off the Shelf Development (COTS) Life Cycle management and ITIL processes.
  • Strong experience in Atlassian Productseg., Jira and Confluence from both a functional and technical perspective.
  • Providing out of hours technical support as needed.
  • Tertiary level qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.
