The Project Officer – Economic Development will coordinate and facilitate activities of Council with local business and assist with building business networks through engagement, consultation, promotion, relationship building, functions and events. This includes project planning and reporting, researching and analysis of projects and business process mapping and improvements.
The ideal applicant will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline together with experience in government, economic development, education, marketing and communications, small business growth and entrepreneurship. Demonstrated experience in successful project management is required together with substantial communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills. A current Queensland “C” Class driver’s licence is required.
This is a six month fixed-term position (full-time) with a salary range of $78,603 to $81,994 per annum, dependent upon skills and qualifications, plus a Council contribution to superannuation of up to 12%.
