This role is situated in a highly visible State Government Department that employs thousands of staff with a wide range of responsibilities and skill sets in order to ensure that it operates effectively and efficiently.

Reporting through to the Project Services Manager the purpose of this role is to provide administrative and secretariat support to the business delivery of this state government departments program(s).

As an individual, you will be experienced in administration management as well as secretariat and governance support.
 
Key accountabilities will include; 
  • Provide secretariat support to the program (and other programs if required) by collation of submissions, distribution of meeting papers, taking minutes and distribution of minutes and agendas
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure submissions are in the format and standard required and submitted on time
  • Work with the Program Director to ensure compliance with corporate governance for the secretariat requirements of the program
  • Perform a range of clerical tasks including setting up meetings and ensuring requirements for meetings are addressed
 
All candidates must be able to address the following selection criteria.
 
Selection Criteria
  • Strong experience working in a corporate governance function
  • Proven experience providing confidential secretariat and governance support and administration management
  • Demonstrated high level computer skills with proven ability to succesfully work under pressure in a high volume environment and effectively manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Strong influencing, communication and internal/external customer management skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills (including preparation of detailed reports) with demonstrated experience in preparing detailed information for management and preparing executive summaries
  • Demonstrated skills in drafting correspondence, undertaking research, organising meetings and forums
