About the Position

We are seeking to appoint a Surveyor to undertake survey projects of a minor, moderately complex, complex and multi-disciplinary nature (Cadastral, Hydrographic, Engineering), complying with legislative requirements and delivered in accordance with customers expectations.

The position’s requirements are outlined in the Job Success Profile (JSP) however please note that the successful applicants will be appointed at the appropriate level based on qualifications, skills and experience between Federal Level 2 and Federal Level 5.

Key Deliverables of the Position

The position occupant is subject to general direction and responsibilities and duties of the role incumbent include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical advice where appropriate to key stakeholders, relevant to the level of the role
  • Apply relevant legislation, by-laws, Council policies and procedures in surveying practices
  • Undertake administrative duties relevant to survey operations
  • Develop and maintain open and transparent working relationships between internal and external customers

About You

The successful applicant will need to have the ability to consult with a range of people and display sound written, interpersonal and oral communication skills. You will need to have the ability to work within a team, undertake surveying activities, set realistic goals and work priorities to ensure deadline and commitments are met and also have the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of policies, procedures, systems and legislation relevant to Surveying.
