The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for multiple vacancies at the PSL4 and PSL5 classification for ICT Support Officers within Second Level Support services.
The Second Level Support (SLS) services team provide ICT support services to users of the Parliamentary Network (Senators & Members, their staff and staff of the Parliamentary Departments). The Parliamentary Network includes Parliament House in Canberra and extends out to approximately 200+ Electorate Offices (EO) and Commonwealth Parliamentary Offices (CPO) around Australia.
The SLS team have are seeking PSL5 Senior ICT Support Officer and PSL4 ICT Support Officers who have skills in providing support to Windows based desktops and Servers in an enterprise environment. Technically, the successful candidate would need to demonstrate skills, knowledge and experience in building and troubleshooting desktop computers and servers, deploying software, port patching, remote desktop support and manage installation of ICT equipment.
Successful candidates will have a working knowledge of ITIL principles relevant to managing incidents. They will also have strong customer service skills and an ability to work effectively in a small team.
Eligibility and/or Job Specific Requirements
• Proven experience supporting networked information systems and technology in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to work rostered shifts within a specified time period, currently 8:00AM to 6:00PM
• Perform on-call support duties
• The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
