The role:
Reporting to the Team Leader of Metro North Digital Partnership Team, you will provide high level ICT technical expertise, support and administration by maintaining the operational environment and defined enterprise service levels as well as assist management in the decision making process by preparing technical reports, specifications and trend analysis within the unit.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support (on site and remote) to Queensland Health sites as required.
- Effectively supervise and manage staff by adhering to unit and organisational goals, policies and procedures.
- Provide support and assistance in the clarification and prioritisation of tasks by ensuring assigned priorities are met in accordance with defined enterprise service levels.
About Customer Services Branch - eHealth Queensland:
The Customer Services Branch is accountable for customer service excellence delivered on behalf of eHealth Queensland to its customers including the 16 Hospital and Health Services and the Department of Health – representing more than 70,000 employees. The Customer Services Branch provides level 1 to 3 support across a highly diverse and complex range of ICT services throughout the entire state of Queensland. The branch is also responsible for ensuring effective end-to-end service management processes, governance and frameworks are embedded, as well as the customer relationship management function for the organisation.

As the Principal Technology Officer Communications and Networks, you will demonstrate technical expertise and experience in some of the following technology domains to analyse ICT system issues, and contribute to the design and implementation of appropriate solutions and improvements Communications technologies:
- Cico IP Telephony utilising Cisco Unified Contact Centre Express servers
- Alcatel Omnivista PABX Management software
- Ascom Messaging Suite including UNITE Connect UNIITE and UNITE Admin
- Ascom Wireless messaging devices
- Commtech Messenger Paging Systems
- Cisco VoIP handsets
- Alcatel Digital and IP handsets
- Alcatel DECT handsets
Network technologies (knowledge of one or both of the below vendors):
- Cisco Identity Services Engine
- Cisco Unified Communications Voice Applications, such as Unified CM, Unity Connection
- Cisco Nexus 7000 Series core switches
- Cisco Catalyst 6500 & 3800 Series distribution and access switches
- Cisco Unified Wireless Architecture
- Cisco Prime Infrastructure for Wireless Management
- Cisco 8500 Series Wireless LAN Controllers
- Cisco 3700 Series Wireless Access Points
- Alcatel OmniVista Network including the 6000, 7000 and 9000 product suite in addition to the OmniVista 2500 network management platform
- Aruba Airwave Wireless platform including WAP's, controllers and management
