The CFA recognises the importance of planning for the future by integrating the principles of Inclusion and Fairness into our behaviours, systems, processes, and through the delivery of CFA services in partnership with Victorian communities. The Inclusion and Fairness team leads the planning and development of capability to enable and support positive cultural change, positioning CFA as an accessible, diverse, and safe organisation for all people.
The Inclusion and Fairness Coordinators play an integral role in this process by working with, and supporting the broader organisation in the development and integration of Inclusion and Fairness into every aspect of business management and the delivery of CFA services.
This particular position will have a focus on Indigenous (Koori) Inclusion and as such is classified as an "identified position" aimed at increasing employment opportunities for Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People. The position requires an in-depth knowledge of Aboriginal culture and an ability to communicate with Aboriginal communities. Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating of diversity & inclusion associated projects and an understanding of project management methodologies with knowledge in the preparation of professional project reports and briefing materials.
- Proven experience in reviewing and implementing continuous diversity strategic improvement initiatives and processes to enhance service delivery capability and outcomes.
- Strong understanding of cultural awareness, with the ability to communicate well with, relate to and see issues from the perspective of other cultures.
