Job Title:  Executive Officer

Location:  Sydney (Department will be relocating to Parramatta at the end of 2019)

The Department of Planning & Environment is the lead NSW Government agency in planning for a growing NSW. The Department is going through an exciting period of organisational and operational change.

 

The Division
Energy, Water and Portfolio Strategy is a Division of the Department of Planning and Environment.


The Division leads strategic policy, programs and major initiatives that work towards securing, regulating and delivering the state’s energy, metropolitan water and housing.

 

About the Role:
This exciting opportunity reports into Dr Liz Develin (Deputy Secretary) of Energy, Water and Portfolio Strategy. Liz has more than 20 years' experience in state and local government, NGOs and the academic sector.


We’re looking for motivated efficient individuals to deliver executive and business management support services in this Division.

 

Primary purpose of the role
• Provide executive support to ensure effective business and financial planning across the Division
• Manage the office of the Deputy Secretary, including leading a team of executive assistants and administration staff across the Division
• Work collaboratively with many key stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

 

Essential requirements:
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or senior experience in a related field or role.

 

To be successful in the role you will:
• Thrive working within a fast-paced environment and have experience working with senior executives
• Have familiarity with a number of office applications, such as TRIM, SAP, MS Office Suite
