Kelly Services is seeking a Policy Officer for one of our government client based in North Sydney for a 6 months contract. The successful candidate will coordinate and undertake programs, projects and activities research and provide advice in relation to Health and Social Policy, Primary Community Care and Aged Care content to support the achievement of NSW Health’s objectives.
Key accountabilities
• Undertake components of Primary Community Care and Aged Care policies and projects
• Provide advice and support to the Health and Social Policy Branch to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of high quality written advice in the form of reports, briefs, policy, discussion papers or circulars to inform or respond to requests.
• Liaise with key staff in staff in the Ministry, public health organisations and stakeholder representatives
• Participate in relevant meetings to assist with the development and implementation of Primary Community Care and Aged Care policies and projects as appropriate.
• Contribute to the development of Primary Community Care and Aged Care policies
Requirements
•Demonstrated experience in the provision of Primary Community Care and Aged Care advice in a complex and multi-disciplinary environment.
•Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Primary Community Care and Aged Care, including the application of the legislation and Primary Community Care and Aged Care policies.
•Appropriate tertiary qualifications and /or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience.
•Excellent communication skills and writing skills
