About the Opportunity

Snowy Valleys Council now has an opportunity for an experienced Project and Business Improvement Manager to join their team on a temporary full time basis.  The primary objectives of this position will be to:

  • Establish, implement and drive the project management system, ensuring effective use of the system as well as driving the delivery of assigned projects within the framework; and
  • Establish, implement and drive organisation wide business improvement and transformation programs to achieve identified improvements to processes and savings targets.

    This position is subject to ongoing external funding for an initial period of 12 months with the possibility to extend this term for a further 12 months based on ongoing funding and business need.


    About You

    The successful candidate will hold relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive proven experience in the successful management and delivery of high level transformation and business improvement projects in a complex organisation.

    Additionally you will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to review and improve business processes to achieve significant efficiencies and organisational change through a customer focused approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide high level reports and presentations.
  • Proven ability to proactively manage demands and risks in relation to projects and business improvement initiatives.
  • Proven experience in continuous quality improvement and the successful achievement of quality/accreditation standards.

SALARY

Salary will be paid in accordance with the Snowy Valleys Council Salary System at Grade 15 ranging from $3,782.00 - $4,256.80 per fortnight (gross) plus 9.5% Superannuation and salary sacrifice opportunities.  A higher salary may be negotiated with the successful applicant based on extensive knowledge, skills and experience in this field.
