We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel who will be providing expert legal advice to a range of stakeholders in relation to contractual matters, corporate governance risk, commercial matters as well as the provision of statutory interpretation advice.
Key Selection Criteria
To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:
- Admission to the legal profession in an Australian jurisdiction.
- Significant demonstrated experience in providing high-level and complex legal advice within a client services or government environment.
- Expert working knowledge of administrative and commercial law, statutory interpretation, and other relevant legislation, and the rules of procedural fairness.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare clear, concise and accurate reports, briefing memoranda and recommendations.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders, including the ability to negotiate effective outcomes.

Salary Details
Base salary in the Grade 6 range of $116,863 - $156,387 per annum (plus 9.5% super), will be negotiated with the successful candidate, depending on skills and experience.
