An opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse to work within the Child and Youth Mental Health Service, Gympie and be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making. The Clinical Nurse has the responsibility for professional leadership in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7 and an opportunity to work collaboratively to lead practice changes and clinical innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility and accountability for own actions (at an advanced level) and the delegation and supervision of care to Registered Nurses (RNs), Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs).
- Provide high level of knowledge, skill and clinical competence in the area of Child and Youth Mental Health.
- Provide high level clinical mental health services to children and young people to age 18 years and their families/carers, including a high level of consultation, advice and support to multidisciplinary teams within the geographical area and Health Service District.
- Utilise advanced clinical skills, within an integrated service delivery framework for access, assessment and treatment modalities to children and young people to 18 years and their families/carers in acute presentation of a mental health problem/mental disorder, within a community setting, taking into account the complex risk management strategies for patient, family and service.
Remuneration value up to $85 809 p.a., comprising salary rates $44.27 - $47.41 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (part time position, 60.8 hrs p.f.).
