The role:
The ICT Infrastructure Services Architect is required to provide strategic direction and manage the provision of comprehensive ICT infrastructure services and support for Stadiums Queensland (SQ). This includes managing the provision of infrastructure services internally for other teams within the Technology Services Group, as well as for internal clients and other approved parties (as required to support venue operational requirements).
Key tasks include:
- Set the strategic direction for key organisational ICT infrastructure platforms and provide advice to management and system owners in relation to system operations and future trends.
- Liaise with stakeholders to determine business needs for new infrastructure and systems while also analysing and critically reviewing new and existing ICT infrastructure platforms to ensure any recommended solutions are “best of breed” and “fit for purpose”.
- Manage the development of complex specifications, business cases and project plans to support the acquisition and deployment of ICT infrastructure solutions.
- Review, design and develop (as needed) the organisation’s cyber security policy and procedural framework and coordinate regular testing programs to ensure the organisation’s cyber readiness.
- Plan, implement, manage and review new ICT infrastructure projects of strategic importance.
- Manage relevant contracts (including variations to contracts) with service providers (Queensland Information Technology Contracting – QITC – and common law contracts).
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and contribute to the ongoing development of SQ’s network architecture including identifying areas for increased efficiency and improved data security.
