The Opportunity:

The Manager Strategic Asset Management strategically manages a range of council assets and provide advice and recommendations across the organisation in relation to civil infrastructure (roads, footpaths, kerb & channel), plant equipment, building and landfill works.

Key functions include:

lead and manage the Strategic Asset Management Department and staff to develop and implement comprehensive strategic asset plans in line with organisational objectives; develop and manage the annual budget for the department and provide input into the budget process as it relates to particular assets

Horsham is the growing regional service and lifestyle centre of Victoria's north-west. The wider municipality is home to a population of 20,000 people and we provide for the needs of a regional population of over 50,000. We have a busy program of works and services with a current budget in excess of $61 million.

The right person for this position will have a relevant degree and post-degree qualification together with several years of subsequent experence in asset management.
