An APS5 Funding Agreement Manager job. Temporary assignment until June 2019 with the possibility of extension.
Your new organisation
This federal government department is currently seeking an APS 5 Funding Agreement Manager to support their local Darwin operations in a temporary role for an immediate start to June 30th 2019 with the possibility of an extension.
Your new role
Working within a team who work across multiple program areas, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing contracts and grant agreements
- Assisting with the development of contracts and agreements
- Assessing risks, monitoring performance against agreed objectives, targets and outcomes and ensuring that accountability requirements are met
- Assessing applications for funding and grants
- Drafting assessment documentation
- Analysing information to assess risk and determine compliance and make recommendations to the delegate as required
- Liaising effectively with key stakeholders including service providers, government agencies, community organisations and approved providers
- Developing and maintaining relevant program guidelines, legislation and policy frameworks
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate you’ll be a team player, ideally with previous government experience, including exposure to grant management, and/or a background in social welfare and community development. You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience interpreting policies, as well as proven analytical, judgement and problem solving abilities. Additionally you’ll have strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, including an awareness of, and cultural sensitivity to, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander needs. Previous federal government experience and strong government writing skills will be highly regarded.
