We currently have an exciting opportunity for either a Development Assessment Planner or a Graduate Development Assessment Planner to join our team. In this role you will gain valuable experience in the assessment of a range of development proposals and contribute to the role of the Department in the provision of customer service and response to enquiries.

Essential Criteria

  • Completion, or near completion, of a tertiary qualification in Planning or a relevant field
  • Proven ability in providing customer service, and planning advice and guidance
  • Practical experience in the assessment or understanding of a range of Development Applications
  • Sound knowledge of Environmental Legislation relevant to NSW
  • A current Class C Driver Licence

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous Local Government experience
  • Architectural and/or urban design/appreciation skills
  • Understanding of, and interest in Heritage Conservation
  • Sound computer skills (including Microsoft Office products)
  • Experience in working in a team environment
