We currently have an exciting opportunity for either a Development Assessment Planner or a Graduate Development Assessment Planner to join our team. In this role you will gain valuable experience in the assessment of a range of development proposals and contribute to the role of the Department in the provision of customer service and response to enquiries.
Essential Criteria
- Completion, or near completion, of a tertiary qualification in Planning or a relevant field
- Proven ability in providing customer service, and planning advice and guidance
- Practical experience in the assessment or understanding of a range of Development Applications
- Sound knowledge of Environmental Legislation relevant to NSW
- A current Class C Driver Licence
Desirable Criteria
- Previous Local Government experience
- Architectural and/or urban design/appreciation skills
- Understanding of, and interest in Heritage Conservation
- Sound computer skills (including Microsoft Office products)
- Experience in working in a team environment
