About the team

Our online learning unit is responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of our digital learning for staff, clients and volunteers.  We work with subject matter experts in supporting migrants and refugees into employment, development of English language and to learn about essential services in Australia.  We are excited by making things work and learning how to get the most out of technology to support our staff, clients and the community.  Our business is growing digitally and so are we with 3 new roles to further extend our services.

As a Digital Services and LMS Administrator you will be responsible for the maintenance, development and support of our Moodle platform, myAMES.  It is a technical role, involved in understanding the operations of various business ‎units and their online learning requirements. This role is also the 1st level support for all LMS questions or reporting.  Consultation with the business is required to understand how online learning can be deployed to our internal and external users as well as how to report on progress and site usage.  Some proficiency in design capabilities and basic HTML/CSS would be an advantage in this role.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining myAMES to ensure the platform's back end is structured appropriately.

  • Diving into our Moodle reports and our Google Analytics to report on course and site performance.

  • Working in partnership with IT and HR to ensure IT and wider HR systems integrate with the LMS.

  • Working with stakeholders in each business area to support deployment plans for new eLearning content.

  • Providing "Level 1" Helpdesk systems support.

  • Organising the issues register and coordinating updates with the Helpdesk.

  • Investigating on-going technological issues.

  • Developing content for the Knowledge Base to support users.

  • Developing simple icons or digital content using third party tools and software

About you

You will have demonstrated experience in process development and system documentation, in both technical and business perspectives, have an appreciation and good understanding of system workflow and application information structure, and be a supportive communicator. Highly developed ICT skills and/or digital design skills will be highly regarded.

Key skills, qualifications and experience

  • Application knowledge: Moodle LMS

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Solid attention to detail and quality orientated

  • Good time management skills for the coordination of multiple tasks

  • Strong customer service ethic

  • Strong experience in the following technologies: Adobe suite, MS Excel, Articulate 360 and basic HTML and CSS coding.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on effective client/team

Based at our head office in Melbourne CBD. The Digital Services and LMS Administration Coordinator position is being offered on a fulltime maximum term basis to 28 June 2019, and the annual salary is $63,597 + 9.5% super.
