The group manufactures and sells a wide range of Wire and Steel products including Animal traps & cages, lighting frames, welded mesh, Filter cages, hooks, fan guards, brackets, display products, trailers, ladders and materials handling equipment.

Job tasks and responsibilities
We are currently looking to employ a Steel Fabricator. You will be an all rounder and essential part of the manufacturing team and will answer to the area manager and be part of a team responsible for all aspects of the production, manufacturing, packing and shipping of wire mesh and materials handling products.
A varied role, including, but not limited to; the fabrication of stillages, baggage barrows, safety cages, traps, cages, crates and baskets, Mig & Tig welding, spot & butt welding, trimming, linishing and finishing of goods including painting as needed. Helping out as needed with other production orders, cutting steel and mesh and packing orders for dispatch. An all round general hand position.
Skills and experience
ESSENTIAL:
Fabrication experience
Experience in manufacturing or bespoke assembly
Ability to comprehend written works orders
Follow instructions to hand make goods, using component parts
Forklift License
Metal products experience
Good organizational skills
Have an eye for detail
Take pride in your work
Efficient production aims
Ability to work with different people and cultures
A mature and positive outlook
A long term work commitment
An eagerness to do things right and impress
Good spoken English communication skills

Starting as a casual, this could become a full time position. We work a 38 hour week 6.30 to 3.30 Monday to Thursday and 6.30 to 10.30 on a Friday.
