Your new role
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in this career opportunity predominately based at our St Marys yard with travel to other yards on a need to need basis. Reporting to our State Engineer, NSW you will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the various maintenance processes to ensure our plant and equipment are always ready for action!
To achieve this, your challenges will include:
- Supervise the preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all plant and equipment located in the NSW region,
- Provide a daily plan for routine maintenance and manage the maintenance records,
- Promote and manage the continuous improvement of the maintenance team,
- Arrange and manage outsourcing of work where appropriate,
- Develop and present recommendations for replacement/enhancement of plant / equipment,
- Manage and/or participate in other projects as required
Ideally, you will possess the following skills:
- Heavy engineering / mobile equipment experience preferable (e.g. 40 – 70 tonne plant),
- Minimum qualification Trade Level,
- Display flexibility with operations and maintenance,
- Desire to develop others and successfully lead a team,
- Effective verbal and written communication,
- Proven experience with implementing continuous improvement strategies;
- Experience managing trade and “blue collar” employees is preferred,
- Knowledge and understanding of scrap metal processing techniques and equipment would be an advantage, however not essential.
