About the Role:
MPC Group, in a joint venture with John Holland and TRILITY are currently undertaking a contract awarded by Water NSW to design and construct the 270km River Murray to Broken Hill Pipeline. We are now seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team. To be successful in this role, you must be self-motivated and able to show initiative. You have the ability to work autonomously and your organisational skills and ability to multitask will be exceptional.
Project Engineer:
- Reviewing and implementing relevant client specification and design
- Reviewing and implementing relevant standards and levels of quality required by different stakeholders throughout construction works
- Continuous works to help improve client specific design
- Manage engineering teams to ensure effective execution of works
- Providing support on technical aspects of construction design to the field teams
- Executing assigned work within budget and as per baseline schedule
- Ensuring that change is effectively managed throughout the project
About You:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in the construction, oil and gas or civil industry
- A Mechanical or Civil Engineering degree
- Membership of The Australian Institute of Engineers and CPEng not mandatory, but preferred
- Proven construction management capability on a similar project
- Display great drive and job focus
- Excellent planning and programming skills applicable to continuous moving targets across many work fronts
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & MSP
- Ability to work 21/7 roster
- Previous experience in pipeline construction including HDPE, Sintakote Steel pipe, HDD, working around existing assets, streetworks and live tie-in works will be very highly regarded
