About the role:
Due to continued business growth, my client is need of a design engineer to join our diverse and dynamic company. We are looking for someone with excellent analysis and communication skills and an enthusiasm to learn.
Reporting to the Level 3 Group Leader, you will assist on challenging projects from their inception to completion and will foster and maintain a strong client relationship. You will thrive working as part of an experienced, dynamic team under the mentorship of senior engineers. Employed as a Level 3 Engineer (ASP3) you will be part of a team providing the full range of supply authority design solutions for building services and infrastructure projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carrying out assigned Electrical Engineering activities within the team from project start-up to project close-out
• Ensuring work is completed consistently to a high standard and that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable codes, standards, procedures and client brief.
• Manage assigned work load to meet project needs and proactively work with other team members to ensure that project goals are met.
• Liaise with supply authorities; submitting applications and obtaining approvals as required
• Attend client meetings
• Attend site inspections
• Providing assistance in the delivery of detailed designs for electrical supply authority projects
• Management and delivery of projects under the guidance of senior engineers
• Ad-hoc tasks as requested by group leaders

Skills and Experience:

• Degree qualified engineer (must be recognised by Engineers Australia)
• Local experience working as a Level 3 Designer (ASP3) essential. Preferred experience within the building services consultancy environment.
• A team player with excellent communication skills
• The ability to complete design and analysis of substations, new network connection projects, asset relocation projects, overhead and underground projects, maximum demand calculations, pole loading calculations, compliance and certification.
• Capable of using Microsoft and Excel
• Comprehensive knowledge of local building codes and standards
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
• Experience with AutoCAD or supply authority network design
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
