ABOUT THE ROLE

• Join the IaaS Site Reliability Engineering team and be responsible for the deployment and management of Private clouds within Amadeus, which are deployed on Vmware Integrated Openstack.

• Support the cloud environments in Germany, US and any future cloud environments.

The main responsibilities will include:

• Install, Setup & Operate all infrastructure related to the IaaS environments globally
• Support in the incident and Investigate and Solve relevant issues
• Coordinate the certification process for all infrastructure components
• Follow relevant developments within the IT industry
• Recommend changes to enhance the stability and performance of the relevant areas
• Assist more junior members of the team where appropriate
• Manage small internal projects
• Provide training/assistance to the Department Staff or other Departments

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

• The successful candidate will have 4 - 5 year's senior VMware ESXi/VSphere and virtualization specialist experience with infrastructure support (IaaS, PaaS). 
• Project management, presentation and report writing skills are also required, as well as scripting expertise (Python or PowerShell).
• Excellent knowledge of relevant OS and associated platforms and/or tools, debugging and problem analysis skills are advantageous.
