Success to date has laid the foundation for the future and the business is now hiring an Agile Engineering Systems Manager to further establish the Agile development environment, management of Scrum activity and organisational capability improvement.

From an operational and delivery perspective, the Agile Engineering Systems Manager:

Develop an engineering system allowing the application of an agile framework into a multidisciplinary hardware development environment.

Work closely with traditional waterfall style project management, product engineers and technical leads isolate dependency free work packages that can be added to a sprint backlog for each of the technical leads.

Train the NPD how to work within the developed engineering management system. This includes training technical leads (and other interested) as scrum masters for each of their teams.

Continuously improve the engineering management system established within the NPD team. Looking for ways to increase agility, information flow, idea generation and productivity.

Mentor NPD team members in agile and other management techniques. The development of extensive working relationships that deliver consistent outcomes but that also continually develop, train and mentor teams and individuals within the business.

Ability to work with the broader leadership team and influence overall direction and ideas generation.

Address problems through risk management and contingency planning.

Track, monitor and report project progress.

To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in the further definition, setup and management of an Agile Engineering Systems environment. You will have experience across the following:

Bachelor’s Degree and Project Management Certification, Certified Scrum Master experience an advantage. That certification may cover one or more of the following: PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC).

Experience as a project manager in a software or electronics development environment leading cross-functional teams.

Extensive experience working in an Agile environment and knowledge of project management tools, software and processes.

Understanding of product development life cycle – electronics and software.

Experience dealing with challenging stakeholders and coming up with solutions.

Ability to manage issues requiring problem resolution and conflict management.

Knowledge and understanding of project budgeting.

Proven track record to quickly understand the key value drivers of a business, how they impact the scope and approach of the engagement.

The ability to communicate, plan and effect change at leadership, portfolio, program and team levels.

Process and people focused.

Strong attention to detail and analytical problem solver.
