Due to our continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Draftsperson to join our Structural Team.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly experienced Structural Draftsperson with local residential experience to join the our Brisbane office. This role will encompass:
- Drafting residential projects using AutoCAD;
- Completing design & drafting work in accordance with Australian Standards & Structerre's design philosophy;
- Liaising with clients in respect of their needs by phone, email, or face to face;
- Maintaining and updating job records in the database, including the job status and time required to complete work remaining;
- Liaising with other Draftspersons and/or Engineers in relation to all drawing aspects;
- Identifying and amending details from the Object browser libraries and Standard details;
- Other duties as directed.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a client focused individual who has extensive drafting experience and wants a largely self-sufficient drafting role within the larger team. The successful applicant will have a 'can do' attitude and eye for detail in addition to demonstrating the following:
- A completed Drafting qualification;
- Extensive experience using AutoCAD;
- Minimum of 8 years Australian experience in drafting would be considered highly advantageous;
- An understanding of the Construction process, relevant design codes and the ability to interpret architectural drawings;
- A strong customer focus;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- A good level of self organisational skills.
