Reporting to the Engineering Manager, we are pleased to provide an opportunity for a Fitter to provide support to our Engineering Department.  You will ensure the timely, accurate and efficient setup, change over and operation of packaging lines, equipment and processes, to maximise production efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing packaging line change over & set up in a timely, complete and cost-effective manner
• Executing preventative maintenance according to schedule
• Identifying faults and troubleshooting to minimise downtime and micro-stops caused by production machinery and equipment
• Performing breakdown repairs on packing line machinery & equipment
• Assisting in the maintenance of drawings, schedules, catalogues and details of equipment, machinery and installations
• Performing general plant and building maintenance work
• Undertaking specific project work upon request (e.g. building prototypes and specific parts)
• Sharing knowledge and provide training, guidance and support to
• Production Operators & other engineering team members

Who are you?

Holding relevant qualifications, you demonstrate an excellent mechanical aptitude, troubleshoot problems, set up and maintain production lines & robotic production equipment. You have a can-do mindset and want to work in a team environment.

You are a pro-active, logical decision maker, work autonomously, skilled at building relationships and sharing information. You are a solid team player but also able to work autonomously.

Candidates with experience in metal fabrication and or experience in a similar industry will be highly regarded, however candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn are welcomed to apply.
