Market leader in mining equipment design & maintenance seeks a Snr Electrical Engineer.

Market leader in mining equipment design & maintenance seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and develop their growing electrical workshop and engineering team.

Your new company
Boasting a solid, long standing footprint throughout Australia, our client is a highly respected leader in the mining equipment industry and due to business growth and an increased pipeline of work, a rare opportunity has arisen for an Engineering leader to join their business.
This role will see you drive process, team and operational efficiency across the region to ensure client satisfaction.

Specifically, you will be responsible for;

• Leading the electrical workshop and electrical engineering division through a period of business and productivity growth within the areas of equipment upgrades and design
• Encouraging team work and collaboration and take great pride in developing the skillset and effectiveness of each team member
• Quality control, Inspection and certification of all work carried out
• Liaise with other engineering departments within the business to ensure open communication
• Operational and procedural gap analysis to ensure operational benchmarks are being met and consistently improved

What you'll need to succeed
As our successful candidate you will need;

• Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Be member, or Associated Member of Eng Australia and ideally hold (or qualify for) Chartered Status
• AS3800/Flameproof experience in the repair and overhaul of electrical equipment used in hazardous areas
• Previous mining/industrial experience
• Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of Australian Standards and Coal Mining Regulations
• Previous team management experience with a collaborative approach
• To be able to travel intermittently interstate
