Expressions of interest are sort for a dual role from experienced and qualified Master 4/MEDII to head the marine team onboard the mothership at our Quondong pearl farm or Broome base as required.
This is a Full TIME position.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- as the vessel master manage the maintenance, legal requirements for the mothership
- maintain a high level of safety awareness and train the boat crews
- adhere to the scheduled maintenance program
- keep the engineering inventory and records up to date at all times
Skills and experience
Minimum Requirements
Master 4
MEDII or higher including experience with inboards, outboards, diesel motors & desalinators
Hydraulics knowledge
Senior First Aid Certificate
C Class drivers licence
Current police clearance (within the last 6 months)
Must live in Broome or be willing to relocate, this is not a FIFO position
Desirable
Confident with Microsoft Office
Pearl farming experience
Abilities Required
Must be physically fit
Ability to work as part of a team and be a team leader
Good organisational skill
Excellent communication skills
Ability to obtain MSIC card (Federal Police clearance required)
Self motivated and a mature attitude
