About the Company
Operating as leading global manufacturer that develops, manufacturers and markets a range of healthcare consumer products, our client is now seeking an Automation Engineer for its major operations.
Working within a close team, the Lead Automation Engineer will be responsible for providing the systems and specialist engineering knowledge to deliver the automation scope of works for capital projects and provide operational support to the group.
About The Opportunity:
Working closely with the team and reporting directly to the Automation Manager, key responsibilities will include the following:
- Actively participate in SDLC activities (design, code, test & qualify) for the delivery of automated systems for process plants.
- Oversee the automation operations team in the implementation of capital activities associated with existing quality systems.
- Provide operational support to manufacturing & perform preventative maintenance activities.
- Effectively engage with internal customers to determine functional requirements for capital based projects.
- Supervise & mentor team members in the delivery of projects & operational support.
About You:
- Tertiary qualified in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Systems Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years experience in SDLC in the development & commissioning of distributed database & automated systems.
- Experience in Siemens PCS7 or S7 & Stand alone systems (Omron, Scada, PLC) is essential.
- Experience with Visualisation technology, SQL databases & Citrix is highly desirable.
- Specific regulated industry experience in FMCG highly regarded..
- Well developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to liaise with various internal & external key stakeholders.
