We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance & Contractor Coordinator to join our Engineering and Facilities Maintenance team based at our Laverton site.  Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work with the maintenance team and be responsible for managing contractors, administer maintenance through MEX and coordinate external trades to ensure that maintenance and contractor requirements are fulfilled.

 

Your key responsibilities will be (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring that suitable supervision is maintained while contractors are engaged and that the supervision is suitable to the task being conducted
  • Managing preventative maintenance scheduling and documentation using the MEX software system
  • Systems, building and equipment are serviced and repaired to relevant standards and regulations required by law and the Company
  • Maintaining operational equipment including all manual handling, racking, docks, refrigeration plant temperature monitoring and logs, buildings and grounds
  • Complying with all reporting requirements including weekly work reports
  • Communicating all activities on site to the appropriate Manager as required
  • Identifying, assessing, prioritising and controlling risks to health and safety of employees, contractors and visitors.
  • Ensuring that all documentation is stored in appropriate files and kept up to date (induction, insurance, relevant permits etc.)

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience with using a computerised maintenance management system (e.g. MEX)
  • Contractor management and supervision experience
  • A trade, safety or engineering background is beneficial
  • A current driver’s licence
  • The ability to navigate and learn new and existing software applications
  • Good computer literacy (Email, Excel and Word)
  • A flexible, adaptable and willingness to learn approach
  • Good communication and rapport building skills
