Currently our Engineering and Construction division is seeking a talented Conditioning Monitoring Technician for our client based in Central Queensland region. This client is a testing provider for the global mining industry for services such as Mine site services and inspections.
Role and responsibilities:
- Work safely in accordance with the Company’s Safety and Environmental Policy Statements, specific client requirements and relevant legislation.
- Undertake routine condition monitoring surveys and on site assessment of machine condition.
- Identify appropriate predictive maintenance action in consultation with the client and based on confident analysis of all data and/or advice of supervisors.
- Work in accordance with the requirements of the Company’s Quality System.
- Set up databases for routine condition monitoring and ensure upgrade and maintenance of databases for their clients.
- Assist with engineering investigations by recording and processing data.
- Carry out field balancing and alignment of rotating machinery as required.
- Carry out acceptance testing to specified standards.
- Seek to continuously develop skills by reading and practice through personal endeavour and sponsored training.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Senior Engineer or Senior Technician.
Applicants must have:
- Mechanical or Electrical Degree
- A high regard for, and practise of safety and health at all times
- Previous experience in a similar role with various fixed plant equipment
- Quality maintenance aptitude
- Demonstrated Thermography techniques , Vibration analysis work
- Ability to perform RCFA in all cases of failures and faults
- Experience in how to use and work with standards: API, ISO,ASME,ANSI ,NACE
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Able to work in extreme conditions and to tight deadlines
This position is based in the regional Emerald area and will be based onsite. The client can arrange temporary accommodation should need be.
