We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Site Manager to oversee and develop our maintenance and project business contract at our blue chip client’s site in the Kwinana area.

You will have an outcome driven approach with the ability to positively influence and motivate your team.

This is an integral role within the leadership team where your primary focus will be the responsibility for the delivery, expansion and service excellence to the contract, through effective management and monitoring of all operational requirements in order to deliver all required works in a safe, timely and client desired manner, whilst meeting the business objectives and quality standards.

Overseeing our multi-disciplined site trades maintenance and project team, who are engaged on a rotational and fixed shift basis, you will be a highly safety and client service delivery focused individual. 

Your key requirements for the role will include:

  • A proven track record of site management with safety, customer service and financial responsibilities
  • A demonstrable commercial, contract and financial management skills combined with proven change and people management experience.
  • An analytical ability to resolve commercial issues and an ability to minimise risks and maximise opportunities, is a must, as well as refined financial reporting skills.
  • A proven ability to develop and maintain key internal and external relationships
  • Confident leadership abilities and proven ability to coach and develop staff
  • Proven successful experience in the delivery of maintenance service based contracts
  • The ability to effectively manage a group of trades persons in an unionised environment
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail – strong analytical & conceptual skills
  • Strong written and oral skills
  • The ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a variety of stake holders at all levels including experience in negotiating with Trade Unions.
  • Ability to initiate and successfully manage improvements in business initiatives / processes and procedures.
  • A proven track record of coordinating labour, planning, compliance with policies & procedures pertaining to safety, commercial obligation, risk management, and protection of intellectual property
  • Strong leadership & people management skills

About You:

  • You will be a very 'hands-on' leader in the day-to-day planning, preparation and delivery activities as well as a proven team leader and business manager
  • Previous experience on maintenance and shutdown projects in a similar role is a must!
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with well-developed interpersonal and leadership capability;
  • A high level of attention to detail and computer literacy.
  • Front Line Management Certification
  • Experience in management across multiple sites
  • Proven leadership ability with a very strong commitment to zero harm
  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks, and be proactive with a high degree of initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate others.
  • A strong commercial awareness
