About the company:
Our client is a mid-tier, multi-national gold producer with significant operating, development, and exploration portfolios located around the World. Their success is a result of a sustainable growth strategy committed to exploration, production improvement and the acquisition of high-quality, blue-chip assets. To enable them to meet their new project objectives they now require an Electrical Project Engineer to join the Project Development Group based in Brisbane.
Purpose:
The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for delivering technical expertise and managing feasibility studies, optimisation studies, corporate governance reviews and evaluating new opportunities for the Project Development Group
The responsibilities:
Your areas of responsibility will include:
• Providing technical advice on infrastructure engineering related works undertaken by the Development Group;
• Supervising projects, securing approvals and executing project plans;
• Preparing Schedules, approving updates and organizing progress reports;
• Participating in operational corporate governance reviews;
• Actively exchanging technical information with key stakeholders; and
• Ensuring that relevant technology improvements are incorporated into solutions.
Required skills:
To be successful you will need to be a qualified electrical engineer with experience working on a large-scale construction projects and experience in design and commissioning. Formal qualifications in project management qualifications will be highly regarded. You will also require excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
