Why this role?

Reporting to the Logistics and Sourcing Manager, Australia & New Zealand, this is a newly created position where you will take ownership of the role in the implementation of several key projects as part of our exciting growth phase.

As the successful applicant, you will execute operational asset management primarily for lift installation tools and will also be responsible for handling of purchase requests for replacement equipment, ordering/re-ordering and handling of related confirmation, delivery and receipt follow-up, potential handling of invoices or 3PL /service providers as well as management of reclamations and issues with suppliers for asset related items.

In addition, you will implement procedures, processes, ordering systems and preferred suppliers within relevant units, the support of sourcing decisions and the preparation of related reporting.

What will you be doing?

  • Implementation of a number of tracking and asset management systems
  • Establishing operational benchmarks across the regions, including setting up and reporting on KPIs, operating costs, loss and damage, utilisation rates etc.
  • Lead the operational management of assets within the unit including handling requests, managing orders, follow-up of delivery and receipt, overseeing invoicing etc.
  • Ensure negotiated asset contracts are used effectively with all principles, policies and processes being applied
  • Communicate asset management related policies and changes to affected end-users
  • Implement the end to end asset lifecycle management for all installation kit components
  • Ensure efficient allocation and tracking of KONE’s national assets to meet site demands within and across each region
  • Creation and provision of asset management related reporting including follow up cost development and budget for the related spend categories in partnership with relevant stakeholders
  • Accountable for ensuring compliance with sourcing and operational purchasing processes, policies and procedures
  • Lead and manage the performance of a direct report as well and interact with indirect reports

Are you the one?

  • You have least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, including previous people management experience
  • You are the subject matter expert on all things asset management
  • Your background is in engineering, heavy materials handling or industrial
  • You’ve worked successfully in national and or global organisations managing assets remotely
  • You must be able to hit the ground running and work with limited supervision
  • You have strong networking skills including the ability to establish rapport and build successful business relationships
  • You are patient and resilient in your approach to problem solving
