Due to the continued success of our Country Regional Network Program, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Rolling Stock and Plant Engineer to join John Holland on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities of the role include;
• Hold Engineering Authority for the Rolling Stock and Plant Discipline
• Develop, implement, maintain and review a suite of Rolling Stock and Plant Technical Standards, Maintenance Plans, Maintenance Schedules and Technical Manuals to meet CRN business and safety requirements.
• Review Asset condition and Maintenance performance to provide assurance that the Rolling Stock and Plant Assets are maintained in accordance with the standards
• Approve Rolling Stock and Plant Designs and modification for use
• Manage Train Operating Condition Manual including all approvals for third party operators to operate on the CRN
• Lead the investigation into rolling stock and plant incidents
• Source, assess and engage SME's to support independent validation and verification processes.
To be successful in this key role, you must have;
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification plus experience
• Minimum 7 years rolling stock/plant engineering experience (Maintenance/Design/Construction)
• Understanding of Asset Management and Maintenance Management
• Advanced commercial acumen including cost reduction and meeting budgets
• Delivery of projects to program and budget specifications
• Experience in Risk Management
• Understanding of the Quality Management, Safety Management, Environmental Management and Design Management
• Ability to review and determine technical queries in line with the intent of the railway standards.
• Ability to identify and assess new technology for application and implementation on CRN. (Type Approval)
