The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a track record of working specifically with freight rolling stock. There a multiple positions which can be based in Brisbane, Newcastle or Sydney.
Joining the team on a permanent basis, you will be responsible for maintaining safe, compliant and reliable freight rolling stock.
Key responsibilities include:
• Manage the development and continuous improvement of industry leading maintenance and overhaul procedures.
• Providing asset management solutions across existing and new rolling stock fleets through the development and management of technical maintenance plans.
• Provide expert knowledge and understanding of aspects of equipment maintenance.
• Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders.
• Utilise maintenance management system to track and manage requirements/requests.
• Identification of technical risks and preparation of risk assessments.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Practiced in development of asset management and maintenance plans for assets.
• Previous experience developing maintenance instructions.
• Knowledge of relevant Australian and international rolling stock standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline, or relevant tertiary qualification with extensive rolling stock experience.
• Experience in rolling stock design, build, test and commissioning, and / or maintenance.
• Experience in Asset Management, either mobile or fixed assets.
• Meets Rail Safety Worker requirements for the role.
• Knowledge of engineering change processes.
• Excellent communication, presentation and computer based skills.
