A large council based in the inner western suburb of Melbourne, is looking for a Drainage Engineer for a 4 months contract to focus on drainage infrastructure upgrades. The role will start immediately.
As an experienced Drainage Engineer, you will be issuing stormwater discharge permits, assessing and approving drainage plans from developers, inspecting the development of stormwater drainage connection works, providing advice on Building Over Easement applications to Council’s Building Department, and responding to customer service requests relating to drainage enquiries.
Key Selection Criteria
- Experience as a Drainage Engineer working within local government is essential
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience carrying out investigation and resolution into drainage and drainage related issues raised by the local community.
