As a Software Engineer you’ll report to a highly-experienced Project Engineer Manager you will be…
- Designing, testing and debugging software in C++.
- Implementing software modules in accordance with development plans
- Integrating software onto host hardware platforms
- Designing, testing and debugging signal processing algorithms.
- Collaborating effectively with project and engineering colleagues
- Enjoying opportunities to exercise autonomy and share your ideas

- Supporting business development team with market and customer insights
- Contributing to steering and further developing the future of Daronmont.
In your first six months’ you’ll undertake product software development to integrate with a new sensor and processing hardware. Beyond that you’ll continue to work on leading edge and ever changing technology with opportunities to continue to develop your software engineering talents!
With a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) or related discipline and up to six years’ experience you’ll also have Object Oriented design knowledge, an understanding of digital signal processing and be able to model signal processing algorithms in Matlab. The ability to document designs using UML would be preferred.
This is an opportunity to broaden your communication and engineering skills and experience, as you work with multi-disciplinary technical project teams that call for high level problem solving and decision making and the ability to interpret complex technical information. Your willingness to learn, meet tight deadlines and work with minimal supervision will be highly prized!

While not essential, previous Defence experience may have exposed you to the ASDEFCON contracting framework and CASG or the major Defence Primes. What is essential is a positive attitude and the professional satisfaction you derive from your work.
