Due to signing a new contract for a Capital project and expansion of our Melbourne team we are seeking an experienced PLC Engineer. If you are to join us, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Designing, implementing, testing and commissioning of the new tunnel’s control system;
- Technical and commercial requirements review and analysis;
- Review scope of design work according to the contract;
- Interfacing with cross disciplines, external information and documents;
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering in addition to have a sound knowledge of electrical automation engineering system design;
- A 5+ years’ experience in developing Distributed Control System (DCS) applications;
- Proven experience developing control and automation systems from conception through to commissioning;
- Extensive experience with major PLC & SCADA vendor systems such as Schneider, Allen Bradley, Siemens etc.;
- Experience with Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), tunnel systems and/or other capital projects;
- Experience with a diversity of SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols;
- Experience with electrical design and electrical CAD is an advantage.
Soft skills required:
- Ability to engage with a range of stakeholders – technical and non-technical;
- Driven to comply with Quality Management System processes and standards;
- Ability to work both individually and within a team environment;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to drive a solution to a challenging problem through to the end;
- Excellent English language communication skills both written and verbal;
- Knowledge of Spanish language is an advantage.
Note: Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or VISA (Working full time without restrictions).
