Our client is a professional services provider specializing in engineering and management services providing world class expertise delivering complex projects and solving technologically challenging problems. Markets they serve include aerospace, surveillance, communications, defence support services and maritime.
  
What you will be doing:
Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing for Systems Safety Program reviews and workshops
• Management of risk registers and Safety hazard logs
• Systems safety assessment, risk analysis & safety integration
• Introduction of Safety management tools and applications
• Project co-ordination and management
• Verification and Validation of Safety controls and mitigations
• Producing safety reports and safety related documentation

Selection Criteria:

• BEng in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics or similar Engineering Degree (recognised by Engineers Australia). MIEAust (desirable)
• Minimum of 5yrs experience in a Systems or Functional Safety role
• Minimum 5 years experience in rail
• Ability to consult to a diverse group of clients
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Exposure to project based environments (Transport, Rail, Defence, Aviation industries highly regarded)
• Strong MS Office and software skills
• An appreciation of SFAIRP, ALARP
• Exposure to Safety tools (ASCE, Bow-tie, GSN)
• Understand project management methodologies (i.e. PMBOK)
