About the Role

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who has qualifications in Mechanical Engineering to manage several high profile projects that relate to automated systems for baggage handling systems. This is a key role as you will be leading a number of high level and complex projects that relate to the development and implementation of automated solutions and systems for baggage handling systems.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a background that has incorporated the design, development and implementation of automated solutions for automated systems that is preferably within an aviation environment. You will need excellent interpersonal skills along with strong negotiation and influencing skills.

This is challenging dynamic role and will be ideal for an individual who has several years' experience in the successful execution of major projects from concept to delivery/ implementation within an automated system environment.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

• Manage and deliver the key project requirements of all projects.
• Oversight on the status and health of all projects
• Ensure that all documentation associated with the projects is collated, collected and recorded in the appropriate repository.
• Develop specific project plans that encompass the client's needs with reference to the proposed automated system that they are seeking to implement.
• Prepare various reports and documents for a wide range of stakeholders.
• Ensure that any change requests are documented and distributed to all stakeholders
• Provide value added propositions and customer focused solutions

About You

• Current experience as Project Manager within an Automation Industry i.e. aviation, warehousing and logistics environment is essential.
• Solid expertise in developing a multiple of complex project executions strategies, that include the standard facets of Project Plans i.e. scope, cost, risk and governance.
• Proven skills in negotiating and influencing stakeholders for effective outcomes that are beneficial to both organisations.
• Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills is essential.
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering is highly desirable.
• Certification in Project Management Methodology is essential i.e. PMBOK and PMP
