Our leading transportation client is looking for Project Manager join their established business at Melbourne for long term contract opportunity.

You’ll be responsible for managing and negotiating engineering, commercial and delivery aspects of rolling stock projects in conjunction with clients, designers and contractors.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven industry experience and Tertiary qualifications
• Mechanical engineering background or similar to interpret technical data
• Expert ability to manage high value, complex multi-stakeholder projects
• Lead commercial and technical negotiations with rolling stock manufacturers
• Understanding in the management of technical interfaces, performance requirements and procurement decisions with regards to acquiring transport assets: Rail, Aerospace, Automotive
• Proven track record of strong focus in engagement with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience managing sensitive community issues
• Thorough project management and delivery experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, well developed interpersonal skills, and ability to effectively engage with others through social communication and interaction
• Ability to positively influence stakeholders who may have competing/opposing views and priorities
• Proven organisational skills, with the ability to handle several projects at on time and manage competing deadlines.
