Reporting to the Senior Control Systems Engineer based in Gladstone, the Control Systems Engineer will work closely with the Program Automation Control Operations (PACO) leadership team, site control systems team and automation vendors. 
In this role you will plan strategy, major modifications such as obsolescence, technology upgrades, reliability and integrity improvements. You will be accountable for health checks and assurance for ABB 800xA, Mark Vie and Allen Bradley systems. This includes application and software engineering, complex software modifications and carrying out system maintenance-PMs and CMs, checks for ABB 800xA, Mark Vie, Allen Bradley and HIMA systems. 
With a strong focus on quality and schedule this role is the risk owner for all integrity and reliability for control systems and will ensure that appropriate short term and long-term mitigation plans are in place. In addition, ensuring maintenance strategies and procedures for the control systems are followed and continually developed. 
Using your previous experience teamed with your desire to coach you will readily share your knowledge of ABB 800xA systems to ensure the Operations and Maintenance teams are skilled and competent.
