ABOUT THE POSITION

The available engineering position is critical to the ongoing positive flow of the business. The right candidate will posssess a broad range of mechanical engineering experience in designing transport equipment. The position requires someone with an in-depth knowledge, who can hit the ground running on trailer design/redesign (low-loaders, cattle crates and tippers). DESIRED SKILLSET CAPACITY - ENGINEERING LEADER/MANAGER

• Recognised Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Strengths in Mechanical Engineering of Road Transport & Equipment
• 5+ Years working practically on Design and Redesign of Transport Eqipment
• Complete Understanding of Dynamic Loading Mechanics
• Engineering Calculations and Tests
• High Level Communication Skills Verbal and Written
• Familiar with Australian Design and Safety Standards
• CAD Design Skills Required - Solidworks
• Ability to Develop New Designs and Modify Existing Designs
• Liaise well with Factory Staff, Ensure Correct Fabrication Processes
• Demonstrated Ability to Meet Deadlines
• Road Transport - Trailers, Semi-Trailers, Low Loaders, Cattle Crates, Heavy Duty/Lightweight Steel & Aluminium Tippers, Axles, Suspension Frames
• Strong Customer Focus, Customised Solutions
• Strong Work Ethic
• Commitment to Managing and Maintaining a Safe Working Environment
• Financial Awareness, Reduce Equipment and Running Costs
• Ability to Lead a Team and Manage the Engineering Division
