Nexxis currently has a vacancy for a Lead Robotics Engineer to become the Leader of the Custom Solutions Team.

About Position:
You'll use your creativity and diverse range of engineering experience to design and build customised solutions for a variety of customer challenges. You'll engage with our key clients at the front end through to development, trials and hand over. A core position in the NEXXIS Team.
The role is full-time based at our office in Perth; involves constant collaboration and interaction with our global partners, it will have a full machine lab to support the development capabilities in custom robotics and a team of Junior Engineers and Technical Personnel to lead and support.
Your Main Duties:
- Lead the team and engineering process from concept, design, build, test and deploy customised solutions.
- Work directly with key clients to assist with the introduction of new technology and robotic solutions to their challenges.
You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering;
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience preferably in the Oil & Gas, Mining, Energy, or Defence;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams and delivering projects;
- Previous experience in the design, maintenance or manufacturing of robotics;
- Use of CNC machining would be highly regarded;
- Experience in remote visual inspection (RVI) non-destructive testing (NDT) technologies;
- Skills using a 3D modelling and CAD-based program (e.g. Solid Works or Fusion);
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills;
- Willingness and ability to travel for business as required;
- Ability to prioritise work and manage time effectively.
