One of the biggest food manufactures in Australia and New Zealand, employing 5000+ employee’s over 50 sites are seeking talented Maintenance Engineers/Fitters to join their successful and large maintenance team.
Role
- Due to continued growth, an opportunity now exists for a Maintenance Fitter with experience in FMCG manufacturing.
- Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role's responsibilities include working in a highly automated processing and packaging environment where your fault-finding skills complemented by your general maintenance experience will enable you to achieve high levels of performance.
About you
- You will join a motivated and experienced team who provide excellent, time-critical service ensuring the reliability of the production equipment. This is a role that offers the chance to develop your troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on a range of state-of-the-art automated production machinery.
- Providing a degree of autonomy and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and driven manufacturing environment where no day is the same, this role will be responsible for a wide range of mechanical maintenance requirements during the shift.
To apply for this position you will need to have:
- Relevant trade qualifications as a Fitter and Turner, with a minimum 2 years demonstrated effective trade experience working in a manufacturing environment, ideally Food manufacturing.
- Understanding of preventative maintenance systems and techniques.
- Sound knowledge of high-speed packaging equipment, bearings, seals, shaft repair, conveying systems, etc.
- Knowledge of and experience with vacuum, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- A real sense of urgency on operational requirements;
