Mitsubishi Electric Australia is an internationally recognised leader in the design and manufacture of high quality, leading edge, technology-based products and services including consumer electronics, air conditioners, refrigerators, industrial automation equipment and railway equipment.
We are currently seeking a Railways Commissioning Engineer with 5-10 years' experience to join Mitsubishi Electric Australia, a leading supplier of electrical equipment for railways rolling stock. Located at our Rydalmere office and reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Commissioning Engineer will perform engineering activities in support of either Train Management Systems (TMS), Communications System and Traction/Auxiliary Supply System equipment on Sydney and overseas trains. This includes supporting production testing bug analysis, technology and software upgrades, test and commissioning, communicating plans,writing test procedures and reports, progress, risks and opportunities, as part of the Engineering Team. Work will primarily be performed in our Rydalmere office and factory, using some of the latest technology, with majority of time consisting of on-train at depots or on track for testing and commissioning .
The successful applicant would need to possess:
- Degree in Engineering or relevant testing experience.
- Electrical/electronic knowledge.
- Excellent document preparation for test plan, specification and reports.
- Sound communication skills, ability to work unsupervised.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Skills in MS Office applications (excel, word, outlook, PowerPoint).
