Your new company
Opportunity to contract for a global leader, who has successfully developed and integrated some of the most advanced and innovative technologies in the Defence industry worldwide. They are currently seeking a Design Mechanical Engineer to join their established team for a 12 month contract.
Your new role
As a Design Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the following:
- Design, develop and integrate mechanical systems and components for specialist vehicles
- Prepare engineering report investigations, risk assessments and element analysis
- Generate, interpret and analyse 3D CAD models, drawings and other technical documents
- Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and standards
- Plan, co-ordinate and supervise developmental tests
- Complete quality vehicle components, sub systems and systems designs
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you must have the following:
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and practices
- The ability to design mechanical systems and elements for specialist vehicles
- The capability to interpret and analyse drawings and technical documents
- Similar experience in design and manufacturing environments
- The ability to perform complex systems integration
- Knowledge of CAD and parametric modelling
- Currently hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
