Aquatec Fluid Systems are leading water innovation partners to the water and waste water industries. We provide turn-key systems for a wide range of environmental sewerage & water infrastructure solutions, including large scale developments, councils, water authorities and extensive retail and channel partners.
We are seeking an experienced senior level draftsperson or a designer to create civil and mechanical drawings for use within our water and waste water pump station projects. You would be required to prepare / amend drawings that are compliant with water authority specifications and client requirements. You would be able to create very detailed and highly accurate drawings for use by our engineering and design department within the expected time frames so that project deadlines can be met.
Essential to this role is being able to liaise between our sales staff, customers, consultants and other engineers to achieve the most effective and viable outcomes possible. You would use your highly developed AutoCAD, communication and time management skills to prioritise your work load whilst being able to consistently deliver high quality and accurate drawings.
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in working with programmes such as AutoCAD 2D/3D for a minimum of 5 years in a similar background (working knowledge in 12D is highly preferred)
- Experience in water and wastewater industry (knowledge on WSAA codes, MRWA and SEQ specifications is highly preferred)
- Able to work under minimum supervision and across multiple projects simultaneously (essential)
- Good eye for detail
- Working knowledge on submersible pumps, valves, pipework etc
- Able to prepare civil site layouts, cross-sections, long-sections using AutoCAD Civil 3D or 12D
- Basic knowledge in hydraulics (preferred)
- Working knowledge in pre-cast structural drawings including be able to read rebar detailing etc.
Pre-Requisites
- Diploma / Degree in Civil and Mechanical drafting / design or similar
- Strong experience in AutoCAD
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in water / sewer industry in a similar role
- Excellent written & verbal communication
