What are we looking for?
Due to our continued growth, we are currently seeking for a Senior Engineer with Fire Protection Services experience to work closely within our Building Services team in Sydney. Your role will include:
- Proactively delivering and managing selected projects or components of projects, taking responsibility for resource allocation, collaborating with other design disciplines ensuring the integrity of the overall design, quality assurance, and client expectations are met;
- Working on projects in high rise construction, re-development of existing buildings, industrial, institutional, commercial buildings and transport projects;
- Providing direction to the project team and promoting awareness of technical and commercial risk assessments and mitigation and best value design options;
- Seeking new opportunities through project work by building on and creating new working relationships; and
- Engaging and utilising the Global Excellence Centres (GECs) as key members and resources of the team.
Who are we looking for?
You will have:
- Tertiary degree qualifications in Engineering - Relevant Post Graduate qualifications desirable;
- 7+ years’ experience in the fire protection area (consulting and/or contractor background); Demonstrated experience in managing MEP projects desirable;
- Sound technical knowledge of both Wet and dry fire protection system, gas suppression system, Vesda etc.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of the team as well as independently with minimum supervision;
- Proven experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and the ability to work collaboratively with other members of the team;
- Eligible for Engineers Australia Chartered membership; and
- Should have accreditation as Competent fire safety practitioner to provide certification.
