The Position:

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experience Mechanical Piping CAD Draftsperson advanced level CAD Design skills using Plant 3D AutoCAD software in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs. This is a contract position and you will be reporting directly to Project Manage and Senior Principal Engineer to service and project Design concept to shop drawings with Oil and Gas Industry plant and process design.

The Role:

• Able to review Design concepts for plant and design of new Gas Skips and associated piping and services

• Ability to provide shop detail drawings for manufacture of both existing modular systems and improved design concepts

• Have excellent communication skills and ability to work with others from shopfloor and Engineers at both site level with clients and within a design office environment to ISO QA specifications

• Provided Proposal drawings incorporating the operational design requirements

• Design and detail drawings for fabrication purposes

• Liaise with our client to confirm technical details and requirement to meet scope demands

• Liaise with onsite engineers, clients and other stakeholders

• Demonstrated ability to Design and manage documents and revisions control to clients “QA standard" systems.

• Maintain Clients “QA Standard" templates and procedures associated with the Design drafting function.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 10 years’ previous industry experience, preferably in Oil and Gas or upstream Hydrocarbons systems within a gas process or Power environment

• Previous exposure to Plant 3D software with PMDS Engineering Design environments including P&ID’s laying for Process Skids for Gas Conditioning is essential

• Minimum Cert 4 in Mechanical field or Engineering Diploma or Degree (preferred)

• Able to work independently and with key stakeholder’s small team environment with timing demands

• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

• Advanced of Plant 3D Auto CAD and Inventor software Skills to Train the trainer level

• Conversant with Australian Standards

Interpersonal skills

• Demonstrate willingness to listen and work as lateral thinker with a high level of analytical skills for new design

• Ability to work autonomously within a project team environment

• You will need a positive can-do attitude, excellent organisational and time management skills, good interpersonal skills, the ability to deal with conflicting work priorities and deadlines.

• Demonstrated working ability offering a high level of Safety, quality and delivery focused outcomes
